I'd like to welcome everyone to the new website for all things Scottish stonelifting. This has been a dream of mine for a while now and I'm delighted to see it come to fruition. So why a new website?

The Scottish stonelifting scene has exploded in popularity and as such, needs managing as best and responsibly as we can. Having a place where people can access maps, GPS info, history, weights and the reasons for being for every lifting stone in Scotland, not just the historic ones, is critical to help preserve our culture for generations to come. The site will be much more than a map, being a resource for stone related events including competitions, stone tours, and also provide important information and updates for the community.

I also wanted to create a place where people could express themselves with articles on stone related topics and lifts of their own for everyone to see.
