Submit a Stone (or stones)
Along with the traditional historic stones, Scotland has a growing number of fantastic contemporary stones which can be lifted, placed all over the country. There's always room for more, and if you'd like to place a stone somewhere then we'd love to hear from you. Our only criteria for including a location are:
- The location must be publicly available - no gardens or garages - locations must be accessible under Scotland's Right to Roam
Must pass at least one of the following 3 tests:
- Be in a beautiful location
- Be of historical significance to the location
- Be a beautiful stone that has to be lifted
If you have a location and stone in mind, we'll just need you to complete some simple details and send us photos - you can complete these using the form linked below.
Tell us your stories
We'd love to hear your stonelifting stores from the countryside; we want to hear why you lift stones, what special stone or location holds a place in your heart, or just news of a recent trip or lift you've been on and you'd like to share.
We'll just need some text and photos and we'll put it into an article to share in our Stonelifting Stories section.
